Francisco Ramos - Guía EPGAMT
EPGAMT Certified Guide

Mountain guide with
a traveler's soul

I'm Francisco Ramos, better known as Paco. I was born and raised in San Rafael, Mendoza — just a few kilometres from the mountains I now guide with the conviction and precision of someone who knows them from the inside.

At 36, with over a decade in high-altitude mountaineering, I started in 2014 with my first ascents in the Cordón del Plata. Since then I never stopped — the mountain became my way of life. I love rock climbing and enjoying all kinds of outdoor experiences.

To date I have reached 68 summits over 13 years, on expeditions across Argentina, Peru and Colombia, including peaks above 6,500 metres — among them Aconcagua (6,962 m) on two occasions, Ojos del Salado (6,890 m) the world's highest active volcano on two occasions, and Incahuasi (6,640 m).

My safety training is continuous and rigorous. Every expedition is designed with the same criteria I apply to every step: safety, preparation, and respect for the environment.

"The mountain is not conquered — it is understood. My job is to guide you through that process with honesty, preparation, and the same commitment I bring to every summit."
